Pegasus Hobbies/Imex/Technolog Golic Building Kit Review

Here we have the basic components of the kit, there really is very little to do in the way of preassembly like some of the other Imex kits,
this one is practically ready right out of the box. Just a matter of removing some of the mold tabs and you are ready to go.
Kit contains 1 door panel, 6 of each of the other 3 panels and 6 sprues of Gothic accessories to fill in all the extra column holes for a total of 160 parts.
As I had pointed out there is very little in the way of pre-assembly for this kit, merely attaching the back part of the columns to create the junctions, and building the door frame.
Next to create wall sections simply join two parts, each column has 3 joining points to create 90 degree or straight sections.
There are holes on the bottom of the columns to stack the walls when you want to build levels.
Here I built a simple 4 wall tower 3 levels high, took me about 5 minutes to assemble.
Here I placed a Crusader Warjack in front for scale.
Simple enough even for a 3 yr old to assemble.

Synopsis: At $30 retail I think this kit is simply great bang for the buck due to its simplicity and its high quality. Painted or not it still looks good on the playing field and can be configured to meet anyones needs.
The one drawback is that it is a standalone kit and not compatible with the other Imex kits like the Hexagon or Platformer, however this is by far the easiest of the kits to have battle ready and on the field,
and you can buy multiple kits to construct some massive buildings. |
